Primary Purpose of the RoleÂ
To ensure high levels of accuracy and productivity are achieved in all aspects of inbound and outbound warehouse movements, GMP, health & safety, material and inventory usages. To provide excellent customer service internal and external. To minimise costs and customer service failures.Â
Key Areas of Responsibility and Standards of PerformanceÂ
- Maintain and always operate within health & safety policies. Promote a safe working environment.Â
- Carry out clean as you go policies and to work closely with QA to continuously improve standards by ensuring internal audits are passed.Â
- Complete all paperwork correctly on intake and despatch. Label all pallets correctly checking details as per work instructions and company policies.Â
- Locate all stock correctly within the warehouse ensuring the warehouse management system is accurate and up to date.Â
- Rotate all stock in line with date codes. Report short life stock to the warehouse shift manager.Â
- Ensure all product despatched is on the appropriate pallets and in good condition, with no damaged goods or product below customers MLOR sent.Â
- Complete all stock movements to outside warehouses correctly and within the time required.Â
- Focus on stock accuracy / location accuracy and ensure this is maintained by regular counting of stock and informing the warehouse shift manager when discrepancies are found in both the raw material and finished goods area.Â
- Carry out vehicle checks as per work instruction ensuring they meet with Bakels standards. Report all issues to either the intake QA or the warehouse shift manager.Â
- All raw materials or finished goods to be picked accurately ensuring customer service is maintained within the company’s KPI target.Â
- Constantly challenge the status quo and suggest areas for improvement.Â
- Report all damages to either stock or equipment to the warehouse shift manager or team leader.Â
- Establish good co-operative internal relationships with relevant departments/colleagues, keeping them informed of potential issues which may affect product safety or Customer requirements.Â
- Play an integral part in the team to achieve department KPI’s.Â
- Carry out equipment checks before using them at the start of shift and fill out the relevant books required. Report all faults / damages / accidents to the warehouse shift manager or team leader.Â
- To have an understanding of Customer codes of practice, specific certification requirements e.g. Organic, RSPO, GMP, industry best practice and BRC requirements.Â
- Ensure all the company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.Â
- Carry out all additional duties as required.Â

Person Specification
- Communication skills – for confident and professional liaison with internal and external customers.Â
- Flt / counter balance experienced.Â
- Self motivated and responsible for time management to ensure all duties are completed.Â
- A users knowledge of standard warehouse software systems.Â
- Level 2 Food Safety preferred, level 1 as a minimum.Â
- Displays self control and ability to work under pressure and make confident decisions.Â
- Strong organisational skills / numerate with excellent attention to detail.Â

Salary: £24,703.74
Shift allowance: 20%
