BAKELS has launched its January 2010 consumer campaign for Multiseed bread.
Bakels Multiseed was the UK’s first low Gi bread concentrate. Low Gi foods help stave off hunger, making them ideal for people on a diet.
As more people go on diets in January than any other month of the year, Bakels has now sponsored several consumer campaigns at this time of the year to help bakers cash in by promoting the sales of Multiseed.
The theme of the campaign is “Multiseed bread tastes great – and it’s great for helping to control your weight’. It is being supported by posters, shelf talkers and stickers. Consumers are also directed to a special website www.lowgibread.org.uk which is sponsored by Bakels and which
gives more details about the other health benefits of a low Gi diet.
Says Ade Abass, General Manager: “We invest heavily in marketing. Our annual consumer campaigns are very popular with bakers who see them as a great way of driving sales. Bakels Multiseed is a highly popular brand among bakers and it is made to the same exacting recipe with the same high quality ingredients that have been used since day one. This is the secret behind the great taste.”
To take part in the campaign, bakers should either place an order through their Bakels representative or nominated wholesaler and then contact the company on 01869 356400 or email bakels@bakels.com for their kit.
